CityOn.Xian Shopping Center Transforms into E-sports Arena with First E-Sports Themed Event in Northwest China

Throughout October, the Shopping Center Celebrates the Most Popular Online Games and Offers Surprise Promotions

At the beginning of th e one-week National Day holiday, CityOn.Xi’an launched the “CityOn King E-Sports Carnival”, the first e-sports event in Northwestern China, bringing several popular online games to the shopping center including China’s hottest games Honor of Kings and League of Legends, as well as classic mobile games Fight the Landlord, Craz3 Match, Miracle Nikki, Carrot Fantasy, and more.Parallel to the high profile event, CityOn.Xi’an launched a series of game themed activities and surprise promotions for consumers in Xi’an.

CityOn.Xi’an is organizing a number of competitions for games such as Honor of Kings and League of Legends – including auditions, tournaments, exhibition games and city battles – and publicly recruit players to participate. The shopping center also launched live event for showing “League of Legends World Championships Season 7” and invited local well-known players and commentators to participate in tournaments onsite. In addition, CityOn.Xi’an has been authorized to host auditions for city battles of Honor of Kings,players can find out more information through Tencent’s official website and register for the event in advance.


CityOn.Zhengzhou and CityOn.Xi’an will hold inter-city battles of Honor of Kings over two weekends in October– October 14 to 15 and October 21 to 22, a highly anticipated and exciting event for consumers in both Xi’an and Zhengzhou.


Since October, CityOn.Xi’an has built a number of game themed sets, established several interactive zones and invited professional Cosers, placing consumers into a game arena for a heightened experience. Consumers can also receive free candy at the Craz3 Match Candy House, use a special WeChat printer to print photos on the Qiuqiu set, play whack-a-mole games when visiting Carrot Fantasy, as well as take photos with Cosers and watch video clips of Naruto. It is also worth anticipating that players at Fight the Landlord will use large cards in their games; Miracle Nikki outfits will be provided for consumers to take photos with Cosers. An Emoji party and Nintendo family computers are also available, allowing consumers to play classic games such as Super Mario Bros.

On October 28, also known as the traditional Senior’s Day,CityOn.Xi’an will hold a special poetry recitation event and trivia games. During the one-month carnival, designated catering brands are offering discounts to players depending on their game levels. For instance, players with the strongest performance will enjoy 50 percent off at designated restaurants and top players have the chance to enjoy a free meal. Retail stores at the shopping center have also launched activities for their new arrivals, and members of some brands will receive afternoon tea and gifts. Customer service representatives have dressed up as game characters and provide services to consumers. The whole shopping center has become an e-sports arena, allowing consumers to wander between the virtual world and reality enhancing their shopping experience.
